Cecil Tait

Paparwark Furniture was started by myself, Cecil Tait. I studied as a Furniture designer maker at both the Glasgow college of building and printing and the Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College and have a BA(HONS) in Furniture Craftsmanship and Design. After graduating in 1999 I returned to Shetland and worked for several years at Scatsta airport before taking the step of starting my own business designing and making furniture in 2003. There were no jobs in Shetland for furniture makers so I decided to create one.

Dad

When business was getting really busy Dad(Bertie) came to work part time a year before he retired and was a life saver. He still comes and works serveral time a week and really keep us on our toes!

James

He is my brother and is an amazing accountant. He helps to keep the account in order, Thank goodness because I can't get my head around all those balance sheets.

Andrew

Andrew joined Paparwark as an apprientice furniture maker in September 2006.He got alot of potential to be a really good furniture maker, he is a natural sales man and a laugh a minute.
